African nationals attack Pakistani labourers in Riyadh, 39 injured

At least 39 Pakistani labourers were wounded after some African nationals attacked them in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
According to details, some 50 Pakistani labourers were busy in development work of an under construction university some 15km away from the Saudi capital when some African nationals opened fire at them and fled the scene.
The attack left 39 Pakistanis wounded who were shifted to different hospitals in Riyadh.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Naeem Khan, said that 21 of injured were admitted in Obaid Hospital while 18 were shifted to King Abdullah Hospital for treatment. He also said that no arrest has been made by Saudi security agencies so for while the situation was under control after the attack.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson, Tehmina Janjua, talking to media persons informed that Saudi police and Pakistan Embassy officials reached the spot to bring the situation under control.
The FO spokesman said that every kind of assistance will be provided to the injured Pakistanis and said that Saudi authorities have assured to bring the culprits to book.
