Interior Minister Rehman Malik has announced that President Asif Ali Zardari has released Rs 5 billion targeted at ending terrorism lawlessness and disorder in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference at the CM House, he said the Rs 5 billion grant was aimed at purchasing police armor vans and enhancing intelligence network besides establishing various check posts and running an effective anti-terrorism campaign.
He said further the countless target killers had been arrested, and their exposure to press was being planned.
He cautioned media not to term domestic killings as target killings and assured Karachites of not to feel isolated, as they would never be abandoned.

This is a step in rigt direction but Rehman Malik must not be involved in spending the amount otherwise major chunk will be diverted to his buddy Altaf which, according to Zulfikar Mirza he (Rehamn Malik) has been engaged in doing.
