Deputy Convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Rabita Committee (RC), Dr Farooq Sattar, visited the graves of MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s parents, Dr Imran Farooq and other martyrs of the party in Azizabad and Paposh Nagar graveyards and offered fateha on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.
MQM leaders Tariq Jawed, Wasay Jalil, Dr Nusrat, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Gulfaraz Khattak and members of the national and provincial assemblies also accompanied Sattar. Earlier, RC members offered Eid prayers at the Jinnah Ground along with activists and office-bearers of various wings of the party. Special supplications were made for peace in Pakistan, particularly Karachi, elimination of terrorism and for the health of the MQM chief. RC members mingled with the people after the prayer and exchanged Eid greetings.
RC members and MQM parliamentarians visited the homes of the martyrs and conveyed Eid greetings from the MQM chief. Members of the national and provincial assemblies visited their constituencies and exchanged Eid greetings with the people of their areas.
