This is with reference to White Lies dated 27 August about this so-called gentlemen’s club located on the Mall in Lahore.
Is this a pleasure house, where rooms are rented out on an hourly basis so that men like parliamentarians can pursue their sexual fantasies in the safety of this club? This is what happens when a club goes on a loot sale of its membership, which is offered to those who can pay the price to get a sponsor within the management committee to get you in.
A former chairman, who happens to be a senior bureaucrat in the federal government, during his tenure as chairman sold A-Memberships to over 250 members, who were recommended by his son. It is alleged that the bureaucrat’s son took money from each new member to get in, while other honest citizens had to wait in the queue for more than 10 to 15 years.
Similar irregularities have taken place recently in this club headed by a political chairman, known for being easily accessible to recommendations.

Reports of illegal sex trade in guest rooms of a prominent Gentlemen’s Club, located on Upper Mall Lahore, in the holy month of Ramzan are very disturbing. The gossip item in White Lies has reported such an encounter taking place at the over 100 year old club, which was once reputed for its selective membership, now open to anybody with money and contacts, irrespective of his social and educational background.
This depicts the degradation of our society and hypocrisy that dominates those who claim to form part of elite in this country.
Obviously, these activities have been occurring with the knowledge and blessing of the committee of management responsible for club administration and management.
Had this been a Gentlemen’s Club, the least that was expected to occur would have been resignation of club chairman and his committee, followed by disciplinary action leading to termination of membership of those held responsible and a criminal suit filed against the guest, who happens to be a parliamentarian. But then this will be termed as part of the deal, in a system where the dirty rich term provision of escort and pleasure services as part of PR exercise.
If this had happened in any other guest house, or motel frequented by the lower middle class, the place would been sealed for serving as a brothel house.
