Wasan orders optimum security during Eidul Fitr

Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasan has directed the officials concerned to ensure optimum security in the province during Eidul Fitr. In a meeting held on Monday with Sindh inspector general (IG) of police, Karachi additional IG, Sindh additional IG of Traffic Police and Karachi additional deputy IG of Traffic Police, Wasan said that special arrangements must be made for smooth flow of traffic and proper parking at public places across the province. “Eid must be made an occasion to celebrate and help restore confidence of the people,” he added. He ordered the officials to ensure maximum number of uniformed policemen supplemented by plainclothesmen at Eid congregations and public places of amusement. He said that he was personally monitoring the performance of the police and any negligence would result in strict action.
