Three brothers gunned down near Shalimar Hospital

Three brothers were gunned down near Shalimar Hospital in the Mughalpura Police precincts in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to police, three brothers Rasheed, Naeem and Kabir traveling on a Suzuki Bolan numbered LZA 5799 were stopped by two motorcyclists and gunned down. All three brothers died on the spot and a passer-by was injured who was shifted to a nearby hospital. The motorcyclists managed to escape after the incident.
Relatives of the murdered brothers told Pakistan Today that the three had recently returned to Pakistan from the UK and their immediate family was still there. The three brothers were residents of Mughalpura. Police said they had left the house for the airport to drop Rasheed, who was leaving for the UK, adding that Kabir had borrowed some money from his neighbour Zahid. Police said Zahid and his accomplice had abruptly stopped the brothers’ car as evident from the tyre marks on the road. Relatives of the deceased, who were living in the same area, said Kabir had a brawl with Zahid a couple of days ago. “Zahid’s grudge was apparent,” said one of the neighbours. He said further that Zahid had not been seen in the society after the fight. “Zahid had vanished after that little brawl, and even his friends were looking for him since that day,” he said. He said despite the situation, no one had thought that Zahid would murder the three brothers. Bodies of the dead were sent to the morgue for autopsy and the victim’s eldest brother Chaudhry Shabbir filed a case against Zahid and his accomplice under Section 302 and 109.
