Peshawar’s Masjid Qasim Ali Khan prayer leader Mufti Popalzai on Monday announced that the Shawal moon had been sighted and Eidul Fitr would be celebrated in some parts of Peshawar today (Tuesday).
According to Saudi Arabia state TV, the Shawal moon had been sighted and the people of the kingdom would celebrate Eidul Fitr on Shawal 1 (Tuesday).
Muslims in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom would also be celebrating Eid with Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee would hold its meeting to sight the moon after Asr prayers at Met Complex today, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairman Mufti Munibur Rehman said on Monday. Meetings of all zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees would be held at their respective headquarters.
