The doctors at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) boycotted work in all outpatient departments for two hours on Monday. JPMC Doctors Association Press Secretary Dr Muhammad Usman said that the boycott aimed at registering their protest against a letter issued to JPMC Dean Prof Ghulam Mehboob by the provincial health secretary. Usman said that the JPMC doctors would continue their two-hour boycott from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday as well. “We would decide our line of action for next week if the letter issued to the professor of grade 21 is not withdrawn by Tuesday,” he added.
