An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi on Monday issued arrest warrants for two suspects for their alleged involvement in killing of former federal minister for minorities affairs Shahbaz Bhatti. ATC Judge Malik Akram Awan on the request of Islamabad Police issued arrest warrants of Zia-ur-Rehman and Malik Abid for their alleged involvement in Bhatti’s killing. Police sources said that Sikandar Bhatti, the brother of the slain minister, had approached the Industrial Area Police for interrogating two suspects Zia and Malik Asad in connection with Shahbaz Bhatti’s murder. The court issued arrest warrants of both suspects and registered their names as the accused in the Shahbaz Bhatti murder case. Shahbaz Bhatti was killed in March, 2011 in the limits of Industrial Area Police Station.
