Hundreds of sacked teaching and non-teaching staff of the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) staged a protest on Saturday outside the AGPR office to demand the release of their outstanding salaries before Eid.
The protesters sported banners and placards inscribed with slogans demanding an early release of their salaries.
The protesting teachers pledged that if salaries were not given before Eid a massive protest would be launched outside the AGPR office.
Federal Government Teachers’ Association (FGTA) President Azhar Mahmood Khan Awan said the entire teachers’ community stood behind the sacked employees working under the directorate.
