All hell broke loose when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s pregnancy was announced by Amitabh Bachchan. Madhur Bhandarkar, who had just then announced his movie ‘Heroine’ with Ash in the lead was aghast that the actress actually signed the movie while she was pregnant and didn’t inform the producers or the directors that she was indeed the family way! Much was said and debated, and Madhur didn’t have much of a choice than to call of the film or go hunting for someone else to take Ash’s place. Talks are that Kareena Kapoor has agreed to step into Ash’s shoes for a huge sum of money. However, while negotiations continue to happen, it’s Aishwarya who is being applauded now. Reason? The actress has graciously returned the signing amount to her producers, in spite of having allocated more than a week’s work on the project. As per law, Ash is entitled to some acting fee, but much dignity has prevailed. The producers are happy and appreciate this gesture claiming that such things hardly ever happen in this industry. So the Bachchan Bahu continues walking with her head held high and has proved to be the ‘true’ heroine of the moment!
