Three people were killed in different incidents on Saturday.
In the first incident, a 35-year-old man was shot dead while resisting a robbery in Shad Bagh. Aslam, a father of three children, who walked out of his house at the time of Sehr was stopped by two men who tried to snatch his wallet and mobile. When he retaliated, he was shot dead and taken to the nearby hospital in a critical condition where he was pronounced dead by the doctors. Aslam’s neighbours staged a protest when his dead body was brought to his house.
In the second incident, a woman was beaten to death by a another woman over the conflict of parking a car in front of a house in North Cantt. Bibi Bashira and Saima had a brawl on the issue of parking in front of each other’s houses. Bashira was beaten brutally and underwent a heart attack during the beating and lost her life. The police after completing procedural steps handed over the body to the guardians and left the case for the local Panchiad to handle. In the third incident, a 15-year-old girl was gang rapped by unidentified men.
Aasia, a resident of Okara was kidnapped, intoxicated and raped by unidentified men and thrown in front of a hotel in the jurisdiction of Nolakha Police Station. She was taken to a nearby hospital but she succumbed to her injuries on her way there.
