The dengue monster continued its rampage on Saturday, as 122 more patients tested positive with 118 cases in Lahore alone. The total number of patients infected with dengue virus since January this year has crossed 1,000 while more than 900 cases out of the total have been reported in the city.
According to the health department, two cases in Multan and one each in Gujranwala and Rahim Yar Khan were reported. In Lahore, 38 patients were brought to Shaukat Khanum Hospital, 26 in Fauji Foundation Hospital, 16 in Institute of Public Health, 11 in Lahore General Hospital, 11 in Mayo Hospital and one in Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Other patients were diagnosed in private health facilities in areas of Ghurki and Kot Khawaja Saeed.
