Pashtunkwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) district Karak chapter strongly condemned the target killing of Pakhtuns in Karachi and labeled the Muhajir Qaumi Movement (MQM) an international terrorist organization.
The statements were made by PMAP district general secretary Rafiullah Khattak, Hameedullah, Yaqoob Khan and Dil Nawaz in a press conference held on Saturday at Karak. Speakers said a ‘conspiracy’ was behind threats to the lives of Pakhtuns in Karachi. They condemned the killing of Pakhtuns in both the tribal belt and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through suicide attacks and now Pakhtuns were being targeted in Karachi. They held MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad responsible for the targeted killings and demanded the federal and Sindh governments conduct judicial inquiries on the matter. They demanded that the MQM be declared a terrorist organization and have its underground network dismantled. They said Karachi was not the city of the MQM and it was shared by numerous ethnicities. They said those wishing to dub Pakhtun’s as terrorists shall fail.
