Earthquake jolts Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

An earthquake of 5.5 magnitude jolted various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday. However, no loss of life was reported. According to details, the earthquake jolted Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshehra, Charsadda, Upper and Lower Dir, Abbottabad, Haripur and adjacent areas. According to the Metrological Department, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded 5.5 on the Richter scale The epicentre of the earthquake was 393 kilometres away from Islamabad, in the Northwest mountains.
