A total of 31 candidates have filed their nominations on Friday for the forthcoming Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections for year 2011-12, which will be held on September 20 and 21.
Nomination papers show that 12 candidates have submitted their nominations for seven seats of the corporate class, while 19 nominations have been received for nine seats of the associate class and one nomination is filed for the reserved woman seat.
Farooq Iftikhar, Mian Abuzar Shaad, Kashif Younas Meher, Shahzeb Akram, Ahmed Hasnain, Raees A Sheikh, Hasnain Reza Mirzaz, Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi, Majid Abdullah, Khalid Javed Rabbani, Tariq Masood Chaudhry and Shoaib Zahid Malik filed nominations for the corporate class.
Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, Aftab Ahmad Vohra, Khamis Saeed, Nasir Saeed, Mohammad Amjad Chaudhry, Zeshan Khalil, Waqar Ahmad Mian, Raja Hassan Akhtar, Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Ahmed Rasool Mian, Mohammad Manzoor, Mohammad Ajaz, Mohammad Azeem, Gul Maan, Shabbir Ahmad, Khalid Mahmood, Naeem Ahmad and Anees Iqbal submitted their nominations for associate class, while Nabila Intisar submitted her nomination papers for the reserved seat for woman. According to the election schedule, the final list of nominations will be displayed on September 16 after scrutiny of documents. Elections for the corporate class will be held on September 20, while associate class elections will be held on September 21.
