Pakistan’s young opening batsman Ahmed Shahzad promised to improve on discipline and his performance with proper hard work and determination to stage a comeback in the team. Ahmed was dropped form the team and was also not given central contract by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on the reports of the team management that said that he was creating differences in the team. However, Ahmed said he had learnt from the mistakes and would follow his career on proper disciplinary lines to win the place in the team.
He also lashed out at people who were using inappropriate language against his family. “If I am at fault I am liable to the criticism but they should not drag my family into foul language,” he said. “The allegation of developing misunderstanding between Shahid Afridi and the team management is also not true,” he maintained. “I have learnt my lessons from the past failures and I am keen to comeback in the team,” he said.
