US Political Counsellor Daniel Harris visited the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) office on Thursday and held a meeting with APML Spokesman Fawad Chaudhry and APML leader actor Naeem Tahir.
Harris congratulated the APML leadership on registration of the party with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and assured Fawad that the US believed in fair and transparent elections. He said that Pakistanis reserved the right to elect their leadership and the US would work with any political party, which came into power. The US diplomat said that the issue of drone attacks could be resolved by dialogue. Fawad said that the APML recognised the importance of US-Pak relations for the mutual interest of both countries.
