As Muslims are observing Juma-tul-Wida today (Friday) with religious reverence, comprehensive security measures have been adopted for the last Friday prayers of the Holy month of Ramadan at the Faisal Mosque. The prayers at the mosque will be offered at 1:30 pm where Director General Dawa Academy, a subordinate body of International Islamic University, Sahibzada Sajid Rehman will lead the prayers.
According to officials at the Margalla Police Station police, a team comprising five policemen and headed by a sub-inspector had been deployed at the mosque after the advent of Ramadan for a 24-hour surveillance while commandos and others were busy in patrolling during night. Police officials said besides routine security arrangements, extra measures would also made at the mosque. Strict checks, including metal detectors and walkthrough gates, will be in place at all entry and exit points with an increase in the deployment of security personnel.
