President, PM directs IG Punjab to recover abducted Shahbaz Taseer

President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday telephoned the widow of former governor Punjab Salman Taseer and said all out efforts would be made to recover her kidnapped son.
According to Media Reports, President Zardari assured Amina Taseer that law enforcement agencies had been directed to take all measures for the recovery of Shahbaz Taseer, who was kidnapped by unknown persons in Lahore on Friday morning.
President and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani directed Inspector General Police (Punjab) to take all measures to recover Shahbaz Taseer, the son of deceased Governor Salman Taseer.
Prime Minister Gilani also telephoned the daughter of Salman Taseer, Sherbano and assured that no effort would be spared to recover her brother.
On the other hand, Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that punjab government will leave no stone unturned to recover Shahbaz Taseer stressing undoubtedly it is a big challenge especially for Punjab Police.
He further added that law enforcement agencies have been directed to take all measures for the recovery of Shahbaz Taseer, who was kidnapped by unknown persons in Lahore on Friday morning.

  1. I am surprised. President & Prime Minister expect Punjab Government to recover Shahbaz Taseer. On the contrary, I suspect that Sharifs were behind murder of Salman Taseer and vindictive as they are, perhaps they did not consider it enough and have now abducted Shahbaz Taseer. We all know about their close links with jihadi militant outfits. At one stage, Shahbaz Sharif openly asked them to spare Punjab from their attacks clearly discriminating against other provinces of the country.

    Allama Iqbal very rightly said : Din-i-mullah fasaad fi sabilillah.

  2. i disagree with shahid malik.. dear people don not confuse the kidnap of Shahbaz Taseer. Think on another picture that is Salman had three wives and now these three families fighting over the assets Salman Taseer

  3. Simply impose Governor's Rule. The whole country is in the grip of high profile activities being witnessed in this province. All know about close proximity between different banned outfits and the ruling elite in Punjab. Before they pull down the whole system of our country remove this government of incompetent business like rulers of Punjab. The rights of Minorities are known factor and so is their links with a particular type of mindset.

If it is to accuse and blame Punjab government, then it can be safely blamed back that PPP-Z has done it.Why?Because Shahbaz Sharif had gone to Karachi to sympathize with the thousands of killed in Karachi obviously by target killers of MQM,PPP, ANP where PPP-Z,MQM,ANP has totally failed and politicizing kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer.That is what PPP-Zardari,MQM is all about? However, I fervently hope Shahbaz Sharif leaves no stone unturned to recover Salman Taseer son soonest possible.

  6. You can clearly smell the involvement of PPP government in this abduction by reading the above view of Mr. shahid malik, who is a dog of Zardari. He is paid DOG of zardari and putting third class blames on Mian Shahbaz Sharif. I think people like Shahid Malik are responsible for target killing in Karachi and in the abduction of Taseer's son. These people are just taking money from Zardari and MQM to write these kind of statements. I think people like Shahid Malik should shut their dirty mouth and should stop their dirty comments.

    • Your class of people is apparant from the language you write. It is typical PMLN supporters language who try to hellfire at the slightest opposition to their politics. Dakoo raj is at its climax in Punjab. Crime rate is such an alarming that has never been seen in the past. Karachi situation is related to power politics becoz two newly settled ethnic groups fight for control of city forgetting Karach belongs to Sindhies. In Punjab question purely relates to Punjab govt lack of efficiency. Karachi situation is totlaly different from Punjab. In Punjab problem is purely administrative. In Karachi it is rooted in history, racial conflict and struggle for ethnic dominance in the city which factors are out of control of Sindh government.
