In order to thwart any untoward situation, the district administration of Peshawar on Friday imposed 144 of the CRPC of Criminal Procedure, according to which citizens would not be allowed to display any arms and do aerial firing during Eid-ul-Fitr and Chand Raat.
Special directives have been issued to all deputy inspector generals (DIGs) and district police officers (DPOs) to ensure peace in their respective areas. The decision is aimed at addressing the deteriorating state of law and order in Peshawar and averting any possible attacks by miscreants. Strict security measures would be also taken during the upcoming Eid and police have been directed to stay vigilant.
