Ushna Suhail, Pakistan’s tennis national champion both in women’s and under-18, has lost her doubles quarter-finals match of the Grade 4 International Tennis Tournament in New Jersey, USA. Ushna and her partner Madeline Lipp (USA) lost to second seeds, Chalena Scholl (USA) and Katrine Isabel Steffensen (USA) in a very closely contested match, 6-4, 6-7 and 5-10 (super tie break). Ushna and Madeline won the first set.
They played consistently and aggressively holding their serves and breaking the opponents leading to 6-4. In the second set, both sides displayed superb game with coordinated baseline tennis and net game making it 6 all. It was followed by closely contested tie break in which the opponents ultimately got a breakthrough of 8-6. Super tiebreak was well fought with long rallies and net volleys. Chalena and Sacholl managed to take a lead with a deciding score of 10-5.
