Pakistan’s national tennis champion Ushna Suhail has reached the double quarter-finals of the Grade-4 International Tennis Tournament in New Jersey, USA. In women’s doubles, Ushna and her partner Madeline Lipp of USA defeated Louisa Chirico and Hannah Shteyn of USA by 6-2, 4-6, [10-4].
In the first set, Ushna and Madeline played aggressive baseline and net game and won 6-2. In the second set, while serving, Ushna’s partner on deuce, made a double fault giving the opponents an edge. The USA pair won the set 6-4. In the tie-break, Ushna and Madeline showed excellent display. They overwhelmed the US pair winning the match 6-2, 4-6 and 10-4. In quartera, Ushna and her partner will play Chalena Scholl and Katrine Isabel Steffensen of USA.
