Mujahid Squad asked to ensure safe Ramadan

Mujahid Squad Superintendent of Police (SP) Atthar Waheed has asked his subordinates to strictly follow the devised Ramadan security plan during last days of the holy month.
He told them to maintain a close surveillance of all the mosques in the city; especially at the time of Isha and Taraveh prayers and Iftar.
He said special groups had been formed involving 42 Vigo vans and Tiger Squad.
He said the groups would be deployed in different sensitive areas of the city and they would patrol in areas difficult to approach normally.
He said the deployments had been made in neighbourhoods including Islampura, Lower Mall, Old Anarkali, Ravi Road, Anarkali Market, Lhorai Gate, Dhanni Ram Road, Neela Gumband Market and Shadbagh Market.
He said that 12 Vigo vans would ensure patrolling in the Model Town area while 13 vehicles would be used for security in Iqbal Town.
