Activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Islamabad chapter on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against the bloodshed in Karachi.
The protesters gathered outside the National Press Club and chanted slogans against the anti-state elements. They accused the People’s Aman Committee for the ongoing violence in Karachi, calling the group responsible for “terrorist activities”, and alleged that it was also involved in extortion. The protesters said the members of People’s Aman Committee were behind the brutal killings and kidnappings of innocent Muhajir’s.
They also assailed the government, saying that some of the PPP leaders were also supporting the gangsters. They said the government’s delay in adopting a strategy to stop the violence in Karachi was beyond imagination.
The MQM activists said the government should be held accountable for all the violence in the business hub of the country.
