The SAARC Business Association for Home-based workers (SABAH Pakistan) on Tuesday held the first public exhibition of its diverse product line in preparation for Eid. The exhibition was held at the Sangi Development Foundation outlet in Sector F/7.
SABAH is a non-profit organisation that seeks to build capacity amongst lower-income Pakistani women through home-based worker programmes and training initiatives. The SABAH Eid Exhibition will serve as a ‘soft launch’ for SABAH’s product range, a blend of tradition and trend-iness in line with the current fashions and home accessories trends. Earlier this year, SABAH collaborated with iconic Pakistani designer HSY on his finale collection for the third PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, held in Lahore in April. The new range will showcase SABAH’s clothing apparel and its home furnishings – a new line of traditional and modern home textile products, ranging from cushions, runners, rugs, and throws to everyday household essentials such as shoe organisers, hampers and trays, and gift accessories.
All SABAH’s products are available at retail outlets in Islamabad and Karachi. In addition to readymade apparel, SABAH also works with individuals and organisations to produce customised items.
