Two ships MV “IOANTHI” carrying 19,506 metric tonnes and MV “Hyderabad” carrying 35,000 metric tonnes imported urea are scheduled to reach Port Qasim and Gwadar Port on August 22, 2011 & August 27, 2011, respectively. The shipment arriving by MV “IOANTHI” relates to TCP’s Tender awarded to Multicommerce LLC USA.
Whereas, the other Vessel MV “Hyderabad” is carrying Urea being supplied by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), under a Saudi Fund for Development credit facility. This quantity is in addition to the 50,000MT urea already supplied by SABIC during July, 2011 under the same arrangement. The total quantity of urea imported by TCP for Kharif 2011, so far, works out to about 180,000 metric tonnes.
