The sensitive agencies in Peshawar stopped four suspected Americans near Khalid bin Waleed Park and let them go after a 30-minute interrogation and scrutiny of their travel documents, a private TV channel reported on Monday. The four US nationals, Colonel Estake, Paul Robert, Sergeant John Lee and Lieutenant Justman were travelling in a Land Cruiser bearing a white number plate, but there was a red number plate in the vehicle’s dashboard.
The US nationals wrote a message and showed it to media people, claiming they needed no NOC for entering Peshawar. According to the sensitive agencies, the four US nationals were coming from Islamabad to Peshawar when Motorway Police signalled them to stop near a toll plaza from where they disappeared all of a sudden.
