A train engine collided with Rohi Express due to brake failure near Rahim Yar Khan on Tuesday.
According to a private news channel, at least 25 trains were stopped at different stations after the incident.
Railway sources said the Rohi Express was traveling from Rawalpindi to Khanpur when its engine failed at Liaqatpur Railway Station.
Meanwhile, the Rawalpindi-Karachi Pakistan Express was stopped at Kochni Goth Railway and its engine was sent to Liaqatpur for removing the Rohi Express from the railway track. On the way, the Pakistan Express engine’s brakes failed and it hit the Rohi Express, destroying one bogie. No casualties were reported.
