The fate of thousands of CSS aspirants has been in limbo for so long now. With the dawn of 2011, Director FPSC had clarified in this newspaper that they would come clean, and make public the new syllabus and age policy of the commission as soon as possible but even after the lapse of 8 long months, the CSS aspirants are in the dark regarding new syllabus, selection criteria and the most demanded upper age limit relaxation.
Recently, a new article confirmed that the FPSC had approached the government for extending the age limit for the CSS exam by five years, and that the Establishment Division was very keen to get it signed it from the Prime Minister.
That is the only good news the CSS aspirants heard after a long time of endurance and patience. It is high time that the FPSC do something for the aspirants who are looking up to it for their legitimate rights. I request the Chairman FPSC, Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas and Director FPSC to shine light over their agenda and harbour no secrets from the nation and make their stance known to the nation as soon as possible.
