Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Asma Jehangir has accused the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Aman Committee of being an extortion wing, a private TV channel reported on Monday.“Get ready to stage a sit-in,” Asma asked lawyers, promising that she would join the sit-in regardless of how tense the situation might get.
The SCBA president said it appeared that law was non-existent in Karachi and “Rangers was present only to occupy schools and colleges”. She said the situation was deteriorating and the army would need to take control. She said people were aware of elements responsible for disrupting peace in Karachi.
