Pakistan Railways Advisory and Consultancy Services (PRACS) is making Rs 115 million in profits under managing director Junaid Qureshi, claimed assistant director marketing Khalid Bashir addressing senior journalists at Khanewal Railway station. Bashir further added that the Pakistan Railways Advisory and Consultancy Services (PRACS) has started an overnight courier service between Lahore to Rawalpindi and Islamabad and this network would be made national-wide soon. Bashir said that PRACS is working to secure foreign contracts.
He said the supply of 20 goods-vans to Sri lanka had earned PRACS Rs 40 millions in profit. He said civil engineer Abdul Aziz Ch was negotiating the contract of a railway track between Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia at the moment. He said 27 PRACS 27 reservation centers were operational including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Karachi, and all commercial services on the Lahore –Narowal section were being provided by PRACS. He also said PRACS was providing catering services in eight main trains Khyber Mail, Awam Express, Millat Express, Quetta Express, Pakistan Express, Badar Express, Islam Abad Express, and four rail cars for the past five years. Fareed express running on Lahore-Pakpattan- Karachi was now profitable due to a new monitoring system, he said.
KHANEWAL – A boy was electrocuted in a mosque on Saturday. According to details, Muhammad Tayyab s/o Maqbool aged 8 died after receiving an electric shock in the Aik-minar masjid Khanewal. This was the second electrocution incident in last ten days; earlier on three children including real brothers were electrocuted in a mosque in Jahanian.
