National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) defeated Port Qasim Authority (PQA) by five wickets to win the first Cool and Cool Corporate Twenty20 Night Tournament at DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy) on Saturday night. Opener Nasir Jamshed smashed 68 runs as NBP achieved the target with five wickets and five balls to spare. Nasir canned seven fours and three sixes in his innings and provided the bankers with a flying 65-run opening start with Khurram Manzoor in seven overs which laid the foundation of an easy win.
Nasir received Rs 30,000 for winning the man of the final award. Kamran Akmal received the winner’s trophy and a cheque of Rs 500,000 from former Pakistan captain and Pakistan Cricket Board Director General Javed Miandad while PQA captain Khalid Latif collected a cheque of Rs 250,000.
