The death toll in the recent wave of bloodbath in Karachi since last nightfall mounted to eleven as more four people were shot dead in Water Board office in Garden area.
According to details, two houses were also torched in an armed clash between two groups of drug peddlers in Chanesar Goth. Gohar Zaman, a cobbler, was killed in Orangi Town when armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire at him at his shop.
In another case, Rustam Khan, 40, was killed in Pak Colony. He was outside his house in his rickshaw when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at him.
In Pak Colony, a bullet-riddled body was found. The deceased was identified as Rizwan, 20, a resident of Chandni Chowk. He was abducted two days ago.
In Orangi Town, two tortured and bullet-riddled bodies were found. The bodies were stuffed in gunny sacks. The deceased were identified as Faisal and Zeeshan, residents of Landhi, and had a family dispute.
The tortured and bullet-riddled body of a cobbler was found from a school situated in Orangi Town. The deceased was a cobbler and the local people called him Lala.
In another violent incident in Orangi Town, armed men opened fire at a hotel, injuring two men identified as Mustafa and Anis. They were taken to hospital where Mustafa succumbed to his injuries.
A tortured and bullet-riddled body of a teenaged boy stuffed in gunny sack was found and shifted to a hospital for medical examination and identification. During the probe, the deceased was identified as Adeel, 18, and a resident of Orangi Town area.
In Korangi Industrial Area, Saeed Aalam was shot dead. The incident was happened in Bengali Market, Bilal Colony on Sunday evening.
Aalam was a labourer and was passing through the street when armed men riding on a motorcycle opened fire at him.
A slaughtered body of a man was found from the Docks police limits. The body was found lying in Macher Colony. In a clash between drug peddler groups of Chanesar Goth, two boys were killed. Afterwards violence spread to the whole area where armed men resorted to firing into the air. Two houses were also torched in the clash.
However, contingents of police and Rangers reached the spot and brought the situation under control after a resistance of two hours.
Moreover, law enforcement agencies arrested five to six suspects from the area and moved them to unidentified place for investigation.
