The Lahore chapter of the Insaf Student Federation (ISF), the student wing of the Pakistan Teheek-e-Insaaf, staged a protest demonstration here on Sunday against the targeted killings in Karachi. They blocked Jail Road, one of the main arteries of the city.
The students chanted slogans against the government and its coalition partners in the Centre and Sindh. They demanded the chief justice should take suo mottu notice of the issue. ISF Punjab President Farukh Habib and other ISF office-bearers were leading the demonstration.
They said President Asif Ali Zardari and his government should resign over their failure to curb the lawlessness in Karachi.
