Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry left for Saudi Arabia on Monday to perform Umrah. Senior most judge of LHC Shiekh Azmat Saeed will be performing duties as the acting Chief Justice in his 15-day absence.
Separately, the LHC registrar referred the matter of a person who tried to cheat the court by falsely claiming to be the chief administrator officer of the LHC to the additional district and sessions judge.
The case of the man named Shahzad was sent to the registrar after he was suspected of misleading the trial court. The court suspected his stand and referred his case to the registrar.
