Despite the presence of the prime minister, federal interior minister, and other high level authorities in the city, bloodshed could not be controlled as at least nine people were killed in different incidents on Monday morning.
According to media reports, three men were shot dead in Garden area, while one more was gunned down in New Town colony by unknown miscreants.
A body tied up in a sack was recovered from Ismail Goth near Eighty Nine area of Landhi. Body of another man, Abdul Karim, was recovered from PIB Colony near a Railway Gate.
Moreover, the body of Mehtab, a resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal who was abducted yesterday by unidentified miscreants, was found from Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-6.
Unidentified saboteurs injured Naved Abbas (28) in Zia Colony of Korangi. He was taken to Jinnah Hospital immediately, where he succumbed to his injuries.
