Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senator Pervaiz Rashid said on Sunday that Imran Khan, foreseeing his failure in the electoral politics, exposed his selfish designs by demanding the office of Sindh governor on the pretext of making Karachi a safe haven.
In a statement, Rashid said at a time when the restorating of peace to Karachi was needed, Khan could dream of getting power over dead bodies. He said: “Khan, in a bid to get a certificate of good conduct, has quit politics and now he is requesting President Asif Ali Zardari to appoint him against the non-political and constitutional office of governor.”
He said Khan had bid farewell to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf by forwarding the demand.
