Protest held in Lahore against Karachi killings

Hundreds of citizens Sunday took to the streets and held protest demonstration here against the massive killings in Karachi to
express solidarity with the bereaved families.
According to details, citizens of Lahore held protests to register their resentment against the law and order situation of Karachi, and the massacre of innocent people of the city.
People belonging to the civil society, representatives of non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and people from all walks of life participated in a peaceful demonstration held at renowned Liberty Chowk, Lahore.
Participants of the peaceful protest demonstration were carrying banners and placards, inscribed with slogans demanding restoration of peace in Karachi, and stern action against the elements involved in sabotaging the peace of Karachi.
Later, they lit candles, showing solidarity with the bereaved families of victims who were killed during recent days of bloodbath in the port city.
