Isolated showers to continue in provincial capital for next few days

Isolated showers may continue in the provincial capital for the next few days as there is no strong monsoon current in the country, the Met Office said on Sunday. The forecast says moderate flooding is likely in the hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur districts because of moderate and heavy rains at times in Suleiman Range during the period from Sunday evening to Monday morning.
The Met Office said mainly dry weather was expected in most parts of the country today (Monday), however, isolated rain with thundershowers was likely in northeast Punjab, Lower Sindh and Kashmir. Meanwhile, isolated rain with thundershowers occurred in lower Sindh (Karachi, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad) and Kashmir on Sunday. The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded in Nokkundi where mercury touched 42 degrees Celsius.
Maximum rain recorded from Saturday evening to Sunday evening was 25 millimetres in Nawabshah, 18mm in Mohen-jo-Daro, 15mm in Chhor, 7mm in Parachinar, 3mm in Karachi and 1mm in Rawalakot.
