Army dispatches relief items for displaced people

Pakistan Army’s Lahore Garrison on Saturday dispatched its first consignment of 15 trucks of relief items worth Rs 5.5 million for dislocated brethrens of Kurram Agency in Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). It is estimated that around 30,000 families were displaced during the recent operation against miscreants in the troubled areas of Kurram Agency.
The relief items included tent age, bedding items, utensils and articles of daily use. Philanthropists and civil welfare organisations have been appealed to join hands with the civil administration and Pakistan Army in their relief efforts to reduce sufferings of their brethren in this hour of trial.
