Workshop held on setting up private limited companies

A training workshop was jointly arranged by the SME Business Support Fund (BSF) of the Finance Ministry, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in order to equip professionals, fresh graduates as well as students with skills and knowledge required to establish their own private limited companies.
The event was attended by over 50 participants aspiring to carve a niche for themselves in fields of their respective interests. The workshop helped establish the public-private partnership as a means to decrease unemployment through entrepreneurship. A senior SECP official was the trainer who taught the participants the ways and means to attain their objectives and ensure that their efforts contributed to the overall national, especially economic, development.
Participants of the workshop shared their ideas and concepts concerning the development of marketing, telecommunication, banking, information technology and other sectors. The trainer enlightened them about the strategies required to be adopted in this regard. The workshop was the follow-up of the recent establishment of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Leadership (CEL) by SZABIST, the government of Pakistan and foreign donors to “engage the youth in nation-building through fostering entrepreneurship & leadership.”
CEL is also collaborating with Khushali bank, which has more than a hundred branches all over Pakistan, to provide loans to aspiring entrepreneurs. A chain of workshops have been planned to bring more aspiring entrepreneurs into the loop so their expertise and passion could be utilized to create more job opportunities.
