Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna have reached the quarterfinals of the men’s doubles event of the Western and Southern tennis championships on Thursday.
In a thrilling second round contest, the fifth-seeded Qureshi and Bopanna defeated Argentineans Juan Ignacio Chela and Juan Monaco by 6-3, 5-7, 10-4. In quarterfinals, Qureshi and Boppanna will meet fourth-seeded Michael Llodra of France and his Serbian partner Nenad Zimonozic, who outlasted American Eric Butorac and Jean-Julien Rojer of Curaco, a former Netherlands Antilles island by 5-7, 6-4, 10-5.
