Lahore District and Sessions Judge Mujahid Mustaqeem expressed his displeasure on Friday over a fax message sent by FIA Additional Director General Zafar Qureshi seeking adjournment of the hearing of bail applications filed by the accused in the National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) scam case.
Rizwan Bhatti and Muhammad Khalil are co-accused in the NICL scam along with Moonis Elahi and his manager Muhammad Malik. The judge observed that if Zafar Qureshi or any other FIA official wanted to submit anything to the court, they would have to appear in court.
The court had fixed August 19 to hear the post-arrest bail applications filed by Rizwan Bhatti and Muhammad Khalil.
