Dengue fever is getting out of control as the number of patients affected is increasing every day. On Friday, 39 more cases were reported in Lahore alone while two cases were admitted in the hospitals of Multan and Faisalabad each.
The total number of infected people has climbed up to 270 in the last seven months with around 85 percent cases reported in the last few days, pointing toward an epidemic outbreak of the disease. The Health Department however still seems ignorant of the fact and claims that there is no threat of the disease turning into epidemic.
