Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Women Wing Lahore President Faiza Malik has said that her party’s reconciliation policy should not be considered as its weakness.
Talking to party workers at her office here on Thursday, she said the PPP had not come to power through any back door and it would complete its constitutional tenure successfully. She said the PPP did not want confrontation with any party, adding that no one could derail democracy in the country through conspiracies. She said that strong democracy in the country was the result of reconciliation policy of President Asif Ali Zardari and the PPP, adding that no change of leadership was coming before 2013. Faiza urged all opposition political parties to wait for the next general elections in 2013 and stop negative propaganda against the government and democracy.
