Actress Drew Barrymore regrets not having a normal “kid’s life” and never having gone to school. Barrymore, 36, who shot to fame with the 1982 American science fiction film ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ at the age of seven, entered a rehabilitation centre at the age of 13. However, the actress was “moved” when she went on a trip to Kenya recently where she witnessed how passionate the children were about getting an education. “I was really moved. I never went to school myself. I was doing a job and didn’t have a kid’s life. I wanted to learn more about why these kids were so passionate, walking so far and overfilling their classrooms,” contactmusic quoted Barrymore as saying.
