The rural areas of the federal capital are facing an acute water shortage, with locals demanding the authorities concerned to ensure sufficient water supply on Eidul Fitr. Talking to Online, residents of Bhara Kahu complained that water was being supplied after four days and that too for only a half an hour. Similar problems are being faced by people in Sohaan who said that they had to fetch water from places located miles away form their homes. They said recent torrential rains had badly damaged water pipelines, which should be repaired on a priority basis.
