Rescue 1122 observes increasing road accidents in Ramadan

The District Emergency Officer, Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi reviewed the data of Road Traffic accidents occurred in the month of Ramadan and compared it with the accidents occurred during previous months.
According to a press release, it has been observed that Command & Control Room has received 260 Road Traffic Accident Calls during 15 days of Ramadan. The ratio of accidents is greater than the previous days record accidents.
The data revealed that the most of the Road Traffic Accidents occurred at the time of Iftar due to over speeding and violation of traffic signals specially due to crossing road in red signals.
The District Emergency Officer requested citizens to have patience in the Holy month of Ramadan. He said drive carefully, follow traffic rules and avoid rash driving. He emphasized to avoid hasty behavior. It’s better to late than never.
