Police releases sketch of kidnapper of American national

Police on Thursday released sketch of alleged kidnapper who abducted the US citizen Warren Weinstein last week.
According to media reports sketch of one kidnapper out of eight was released which was made by the help of guard and driver of Warren Weinstein.
Last Saturday, eight men entered 60-year-old Warren Weinstein’s house and kidnapped him after overpowering security guards in an upscale Lahore locality.
Weinstein has been identified as working for JE Austin & Associates, an Arlington, Virginia-based consulting firm, on a development project in FATA.
Weinstein had been living in Pakistan for more than five years.
The police have detained three people but their identity is not known yet. There are fears in US media that the American national may have been kidnapped in the mistaken belief that he was working for the US government.
However, a US official said that it was a “routine kidnapping” and that the American will be recovered “soon”. US embassy spokesman Alberto Rodriguez said they had not yet been informed about any progress in the case. No one has claimed responsibility for the abduction.
